Nancy W.
My name is Nancy and I guess I am a semiretired RN.
I have three grown children, severn grandsons and one beautiful granddaughter. Oh yes, the most wonderful and patient husband of almost 39 years
I worked as a critical care, ER , then cardiac cath lab nurse over the last 24 years. I worked until 2005 when we were getting our home in Naples, FL ready to sell. My husband was retiring. I fell and broke my leg and ankle pulling vines out of trees. After surgery and nearly a year of recovery, I had to have a total knee replacement of the right knee. That is good most of the time now but I have since developed osteoarthritis, hypertension, elevated cholesterol and then this week was told by my MD that I am a diabetic!!
We now live in Sevierville, TN and love it. We have traveled a lot as my husband was an Army officer. He retired, then worked in Florida, and retired from there. We sold our home in Florida, bought a cabin and found a wonderful church to join here.
I have met with the surgeon, had the two meetings with the psychologist, bloodwork, and ultrasound done. I am now waiting for the surgeon to receive the last 5 years of my medical records and send the paperwork to Tricare for their approval then I can really begin this journey..
