My story....hmmm....where to begin. Well, I am 34 years old, and live in the Richmond, Virginia area. I am married and am a proud mother of 3 beautiful children, ages 11, 10, and 6. I have been overweight most of my life, but really gained weight while I was pregnant with my children. I never lost the weight from one, and just continued to add it on with the next. I have tried so many types of diets and pills it is ridiculous! I would lose a few pounds, but they always came back, and usually with quite a few friends! I finally decided to really look into gastric bypass surgery after speaking with my PCP (whom I adore). He had gone through the procedure 5 years ago, and is doing wonderfully. He gave me the name and number of his surgeon, and well, after a little over a year, I finally have a date! July 2, 2007...my new birthday!
