Getting excited and nervous about surgery

Well..I finally have done it!  I have finally met my goal weight and have scheduled my surgery.  It has only taken a year after starting the process.  I have actually started the process once before, but did not get very far when I switched jobs.  I am really excited about the surgery, but cant help but be nervous.  I work in an emergency room and all I normally see are the complications from the surgeries.  Not so many now, but 5 years ago, there was always 1-2 a shift who were being admitted. 
A little introduction about me.  I am married with 4 kids.  My husband says he is supportive, but he is scared I am going to get skinny and leave him.  Trying to reassure him is almost useless.  I finally gave him my packet to look through so maybe he wont be as nervous.  He works in the medical field and has seen the worse of it also, so I dont blame him for being nervous about the medical aspect.  My friends are excited for me.  They think this is this best thing I have ever done and are cheering me on. 
Later today is my pre-op appointment.  I cant wait.  then about 3 more weeks.  =-)
