It's been over 5 years now!
Mar 29, 2012
I cannot believe it's been over 5 years since my surgery. I have lost a total of 125lbs. I am down to a size 4 or 6 in jeans. A small or medium in shirts. Wearing a 32 D bra. I feel great. Have had no problems. I am starting to exercise now. I feel so much better about myself now. It has been a long journey and it isn't always easy. I just know that I never want to go back to where I was at in November of 2006. What a difference.

I can't believe it's been so long since i've updated this page. Time flys by that's for sure. So far I have lost 98lbs. I'm wearing a size 10 in most pants (sometimes a 12). My shirt size is Medium or Large. I wear a 61/2 or 7 shoe size. I can't believe the difference. This was the best thing that I did for myself.

Well I have lost 71lbs so far. I am wearing a size 14 jeans and some 16's - just depends on the brand. Shirts I can wear either L or XL - again depends on the brand. I was able to buy a size 12/14(L) in shirts and my dresses at Walmart. I was so excited. I tried the bigger size first and it just didn't fit right. I thought I would try the smaller size and it fit perfectly. I was very happy. I had hernia surgery on May 9th. I had an incisional hernia. I think the recovery was worse than the original surgery. It was pretty painful. I still have some soreness there but its getting better every day. That's it for now.

I am now down to 187 lbs from 253lbs. I can't believe the difference. I started in a size 22 pants and 2X shirt. I am now in a XL shirt and size 16 pants (which are started to get too big) :) I love it. This is the best thing I could have done for myself. I did find a lump in my side that was hurting. I went back to my Dr. and found out I have an incisional hernia. I was told this could happen. Its sore but not extremely painful at this point. I go back in on May 9th to have it stitched back into place. I just joined the gym at the beginning of this month so I will have to hold off on going for a while. They have a pool so I can at least take my daughter swimming and just sit out on the side. Oh well. What can you do. I can't complain. I will get a picture posted soon.

Well things have been going good so far. I have lost 53lbs as of Feb 26th. I haven't checked my weight since then. I feel great. Clothes are fitting better. I am now in an XL in shirts and 16 in some pants....others still need a size 18. I can' believe the difference in my weight in just 3 months time.

Well I have lost 39 pounds so far. I posted a new picture of me taken earlier this week. I can't believe the difference between the November picture and the one from this week. I don't think I realized how big I had gotten. Things are still going well. I am working on exercizing more often. That's about it for now!

Well as of today I have lost 33 pounds. Could be more if I could just get motivated to start exercizing. Everything is getting smaller. I can feel my fat starting to melt. Things jiggle more than they did before. I was more of a solid fat person. I am working on getting in enough protein and water each day. I drink a protein shake in the morning for breakfast and have chicken usually for lunch. I eat whatever we are having for dinner but a lot less of it. I use a small plate so that I don't take too much food. If I eat too much - even one bite - I will end up having to throw up. I've had to do that a few times. Its hard when you are used to eating fast and a lot of food and now you have to eat slowly and a lot less. Its a work in progress thats for sure. I started reading the book Before & After by Susan Leach. Its her WLS journy and recipes. I'm not too far into the book yet. Anyway thats the update on me. I will post my inches lost soon. I have them at home.
