Gregory Walton

"Note: I have waited until I am one year post surgery. I wanted to get along farther in my experience before I made any kind of evaluation. rnrnDr. Walton is the best! He is caring, open and honest during discussions prior to surgery. While he is quick to let you know some of his patients have problems, my perception is that his patients suffer fewer adverse side-effects than contemporaries in this area. He performed RNY and gall bladder removal laproscopically. My recovery time before going back to practicly a \"full\" workload (driving construction equipment) was FOUR days. rnrnMy only concern is in his support staff. While they did an adequate job, I felt like some of my \"follow-up\" details fell through the cracks. I recently had my one year follow up, but have not had my blood work scheduled yet. I felt like that should have been done before my consult. rnrnOverall, I would highly recommend Dr. Walton to anyone considering WLS. He is continually striving to improve techniques and procedures. At this time, he is working with the hospital to make his practice in Enid to have a \"Center of Excellence\" distinction.rnrnNote: In the spring of 2006, Dr. Walton moved his practice to Edmond, OK. He is doing bariatric surgeries (RNY & Lap Band) exclusively now. The facility is designed to assist any aspect of weight loss people are dealing with. This includes non surgical alternatives, food/diet supplements, exercise physiologists and on site dieticians."

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center

"Things were overall as well as can be expected. My hospital experience if very limited. St. Mary's staff went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. My only complaint is that the elevators are old and slow!----CAVEAT You must bear in mind that my wife is employed there--I think my responses would be the same regardless, but knowing whom I belonged to may have altered how I was treated by the staff."
