Daniel B. Jones

"I was really nervous about meeting Dr. Jones. I was very nervous about everything in my life at that time. I didn't trust anyone. It didn't take long for him to put me at ease. He is very caring and a wonderful surgeon. I guessed that he was really a busy man, but he took his time w/ me and answered all of my questions. His staff at UTSWMED ctr in Dallas, was knowledgable, curteous, and helpful. Lois is my guardian angel here on earth (at least during that point in my life. The only thing that I was not wild about w/ Drs. Jones and Provost was that their wait for surgery was so far out... I wanted it done "NOW!!!" I felt that they were well worth the wait (3 mos for initial appt and surgery) I know that is relatively short for surgeons of this caliber...... There is a support group for WLS patients thru the hospital and aftercare is highly stressed. (I did not get that benefit, I was in hiding). I understood all of the risks of surgery, up to and including death. I knew I was going to die without this surgery! Being from the north, and having traveled quite a bit when my dad was in the military, I felt quite comfortable with Dr. Jones. I don't know how I could rate his overall performance, cos I don't know how to rate EXCELLence. I would have this surgery again, without all the life drama, with Dr. Jones. I was very comfortable with him and would highly recommend him to anyone pursuing this weight loss tool. These are my own personal views, experiences, etc w/ Dr. Jones. Your Mileage may vary!"
