Thad Boss

"I first met Dr. Boss in July 2004 while I was in hospital for a partial bowel obstruction. My surgeon, Dr. Dass, had asked him to speak with me about gastrointestinal bypass surgery. I found him to be very knowledgeable, kind, concerned, caring, and nice. He didn’t just tell me the benefits he wanted to make sure I understood all the risks involved. I like him. He doesn’t just tell you what he thinks you want to hear. He tells you the truth no matter what. I next saw Dr. Boss at his seminar November 17. It was only supposed to be 1 ½ hours long (from 2 pm until 3:30 pm) I had to leave at 4:45 pm and He was still answering questions. I respect and trust him and that seems to grow stronger the longer I know him. Two days after his seminar, November 19, I was back in the hospital with another bowel obstruction. Dr. Dass, Dr. Boss and their teams decided that Dr. Boss would take over my care. So, Dr. Boss took over my care after 3 days after I was admitted and ended up doing surgery to clear the blockage and repair a hernia on November 26. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable in the operating room while waiting for surgery to start. I remember he was the first person I saw after the surgery and again he went out of his way to make sure I knew everything would be ok. rnTammy, his office manager, is GREAT!!!!! She is a very helpful, caring person. rnrnrnDr. Boss passed away on Dececmber 20, 2008 and is greatly missed by family, friends and patients. rn"
