Hey! less than a week to go! Met Dr English on tuesday to go over things before surgery. He's pretty awesome. Everything is ready to go. I do have swollen glands, so I'm going to start a Z pak today to get rid of them before surgery. Trying to visualize a positive procedure and recovery. Lots of praying too. Will post details of surgery as soon as I know.

Hello Carol - <b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you are experiencing a range of emotions right now. The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. (I started living life again, 9 months ago and have since lost a 150 pounds, only 50 more to goal!!) I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Just remember your overall attitude plays a large role in your recovery, keep it POSITIVE and ask lots and lots of questions. This is a new learning experience for all of us that choose this path and we draw so much from each other. There can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a successful and uneventful surgery. <i>"To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally <u>unlike</u> your past. Your history is not your destiny." -- Alan Cohen </i> .....Hugs and Smiles : )

Well, two weeks from today and I'm on my way!!! I'm so excited!!!! Can't believe I feel this way, but I'm getting sick of food!!! Feel like I have a "license to eat" since it'll all be coming off soon, so I'm enjoying things I have usually stayed away from. It's so weird not trying to be on some kind of diet. I'm so ready to do this. Tired of my life being about food. I really want to be healthy and able to do simple stuff.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you a speedy recovery and a welcome to the losing side Carol

The date is getting closer!! I'm very psyched about the whole thing. Trying to stay relaxed and deal with the anxiety of it all. I appreaciate any thoughts and prayers sent my way.
