Hello everyone! What a journey this has been. I am doing great. At my 9 month checkup I had lost nearly all my excess body fat. By 10 months I was below my ideal body weight by 5 lbs. My doctor said after losing 100% of my excess I am his most successful patient to date. I feel great and every day is a gift in this new life I have. I weigh 116 lbs and wear a size 3 to 4. My only problem now is finding clothes small enough but that is ok with me!!!! Just for all considering this surgery....I would do it again in a heartbeat. I love the new me and life is now my most precious gift, and I gave that gift to me!!

I received an email from Carrie today. She arrived home at noon today and all is well. Her surgery took 3 hours but there were no complications other than a small fever that she spiked on Wednesday night.

I called and spoke with St Mary's Hosp around noon today. They would not give me any information on Carrie's surgery. She is in the Ambulatory Surgery unit so perhaps she will be released today.
