OK... so here it goes.  I gained a lot of weight after high school.  Over 200lbs.  I've done all the fad diets.  Did Weight Watchers in 2000 and lost 98lbs.  That's the smallest I've been in a very long time.  In 2008 I decided after my Aunt had weight loss surgery to contact the surgeon and see what it was about and if it was for me.  I himmed and hauled for awhile, but finally realized that if I ever wanted to get to a healthy weight, I'd have to do something for me.  At first I was going for the bypass, but then I chickened out and had lap-band.  Now, come to find out, but the Realize band has been recalled.  I initially lost about 40lbs after the surgery.  Life fell apart for me and I ended up gaining 26 of that back.  I've talked to Dr. Hoffman who said he could still perform bypass surgery on me.  After careful consideration, I've decided to go for it.  Right now, I am healthy, just big.  I am tired though of taking pills for the pain in my back and my knees.  I work out 4-5 days a week right now.  It HURTS to do that, but I just keep telling myself that the pain is worth it in the long run.

What makes all this worse, I am living in West Seneca, NY alone.  My family and friends are all back in Delaware (where I had the initial surgery).  I moved to keep my job.  It's me and my doggie which makes it even harder as I have no local support.
