My first WLS blog!

I had my lap-band surgery on October 26, 2006, a little over 2 weeks ago. The surgery went really well. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. The pain was minimal, the gas pain was the worst part. I had great friends and the best family ever offering support. Over the past 2 weeks I have learned that *I* need support with this. I am normally the one who supports every one else, I am always the care taker, I am usually the rock for people to lean on.....thats who I am, thats what I do. I normally facilitate the support groups etc. Now I am attending support groups and I am leaning on others.....and it is wonderful to have that support!
On Thursday I went from 2 weeks of full liquids to 1 meal per day of mushie proteins. So far I have had tuna fish, egg salad, and blenderized chicken cooked in tomato sauce with a little cheese (YUMMY). I so want to be done drinking the protein shakes! I so want to be eating 3 meals a day again! I have little physical hunger, but major "head hunger". I guess my swelling is mostly gone because I feel ZERO restriction! I see the Doc on Wednesday and I am hoping for my 1st fill! This is not easy! I struggle to train my mind! I have read it gets better after a few fills. I look forward to restriction!!!
