"My first contact with Dr. Schriver was through e-mail. I e-mailed a question and HE was the one to respond the very same day. That really impressed me. I then called to make my appointment and spoke to Martha.
What a true southern jewel! On the day of my appointment I found the whole office staff to be very friendly. When Dr. Schriver came in he explained everything about the surgery to me. He even talked about all the possible complications which I was aware of because of this site. My mother was with me and expressed concern because she is facing a
surgery for GERD and he even took the time to explain to her that it was very possible to do that surgery lap as well and even
referred her to a surgeon here in Columbia.
The fact that he took the time to do that
also impressed me. I saw the therapist that
he uses for Psych evals and even she warned of all the possible things that can go wrong.I had surgery on August 1, 2003(everything went wonderfully) and as of today October 22,2003 I have had not one problem. I have only gotten sick once because I ate too fast. I would rate Dr. Schriver as a top notch surgeon who does address aftercare and has an aftercare program. I owe my getting my life back to him and his staff. Well worth the 5 hour drive I made to use him."
