"Our family is coming up on a year since we lost our mother at the hands of Dr. Reiss. Looking back...we would have challenged her professional opinion & sought a second one. I implore you to look elsewhere or at least be on top of this doctor & nursing care. Be aware of cardinal symptoms of SEPSIS which we believe SHE OVERLOOKED. Although she promised she did not "nick" anything...from the time she was transferred to ICU...it took her 3 DAYS before she requested a CT scan which ultimately determined that our mother DID HAVE A LEAK CAUSING HER DEATH. Yet Dr. Reiss continued to stressed that our mother's deterioration was due to hypoxic encephalopathy...which is directly related to the SEPSIS that THEY DID NOT TREAT IN A TIMELY MATTER & COULD HAVE SAVED HER LIFE. My desire is to inform those to QUESTION EVERYTHING & BE AWARE of the CARDINAL SYMPTOMS of Sepsis. They will manifest itself within the first 3 DAYS after surgery. These are fever, chills, confusion, anxiety, RAPID PULSE, RAPID BREATHING, PEEING LESS THAN NORMAL, LOW BODY TEMPERATURE, nausea/vomiting & diarrhea. I pray that you never have to suffer loss due to trusting a medical professional that only lies about what your loved one is dying from...only to find out the truth when you get the death certificate that they signed & confirmed what truly caused their death."
