Well I started this journey approximately 9 months ago.  I started at 346lbs and have lost 62lbs so I now weigh 284lbs.  My surgery is 8 days away and I am sooo nervous and excited!  I have read the posts on this site daily for a long time and have learned so much from the people here.  It is a great site and I am glad my sister got me aquainted with it.  I am now trying to get all my things in order for surgery.  Housework, groceries, list of things to take to hospital, etc.  My sister is going to take me to the hospital and stay with me that day.  My mom will come see me later the same day.  The next day my dad comes to visit.  Then my husband will pick me up and take me home.  My husband is in nursing school, and it will be his last week of school so he cannot accompany me to the hospital.  I cannot wait to be on the losers bench.  I am on my way!!!!
