Hello Everyone!! I am looking to get the RNY from Clarian Bariatric Center. My story starts when I got out of high school. I was an average size child and teen and very active in high school. It was not until I graduated from high school that I began to put on weight. I have struggle with my weight the last 9 years. I have been up and down, on this diet or that diet. I have lost weight, and then re-gained it back but much more. My quest for weight lost goes back to July 07, I decided I would go to a free seminar and see and hear all the information about bariatric surgery. After I left I had made my mid up that this is what I needed to do and wanted to do for myself. I was not able to see a doctor yet becuase of my insurance M-Plan.So I did all the on-line registration..and they sent my paperwork in and of course I was denied. I had M-Plan at the time and I had to go through 6 months of seeing a nutritionist.I began seeing my nutritionist in October 07 and started going to the support meetings every two weeks. My job was changing insurance at the end of the year so now I have Anthem.
I was finally able to schedlue my consulation with my sugeron at the beginning of this year! Praise the Lord...I heard so many great things about Dr. Mattar that I wanted him to be my surgeon. We meet on January 14th and the appointment went very well. with me having Anthem now, I may not have to wait till the 6 months because they are not requiring it now. I am scheduled to do all my pre-testing on January 31st and I do my psych visit on February 4th. I'm excited because it's really becoming a reality now..I'll be in touch soon with more details..
Today is February 12th and I just recieved a phone call from Laverne who does the insurance for Clarian and I got approved!! I can't believe it as the paper work just ogt sent off for pre determination last Thursday and it came back that quick. I'm now waiting on my call to schedule my pre-op class. This is finally and really going to happen. I will be in touch once I get my actual surgery date!!
Well, I finally got my surgery date, It's March 12th and I'm so happy and excited at the same time. I can't believe it is actually happening. Please pray for me and I know I will do good. Dr. Mattar is one of the BEST surgeon there is and I'm happy he is going to do the surgery. I trust him competley and I can't wait to start my new life!! I'll be in touch soon... I'm hott now but wait until you see the weight start coming off!!

Well folks, I'm getting very nervous..I have 4 days until my WLS and I'm so excited. I will be in touch with you all in a few days..it's count down time!!

Well today I have been on a liquid diet and it's has been very hard. I have one more day to go then my surgery is Wed. morning. I'm having all sorts of thoughts and feelings right now. I know I'm making the best decison but I'm so nervous right now.
