All Saints

"They are constantly building something new at All Saint's so there are the construction issues to deal with. I think the staff there are friendly and caring. I found the staff to be very kind and empathetic to my feelings and needs. There isn't a lot of modesty for you when you are in the hospital, but the staff handled themselves very well. When I was down on myself they knew what to say to make me feel better. I had an emergency surgery on a Saturday afternoon and found everything to be organized and run smoothly. and I still got the kindness from the surgical staff, even though they were working on Saturday. They had a rest time between 2-4pm and my room was by the hallway entrance where they would close the doors - however the doors opened and closed a thousand times and that was noisy. I did close my door most of the time and that helped. For about 5 hours during the night it was always very quiet. I was there twice for a total of 17 days and wouldnot hesitate to use All Saints again."

Timothy B. LeSage

"My first impression of him is that he is younger than me:-) I found him friendly and enthusiastic. He answered all my questions thouroughly. I handed him a list of 11 questions when I met with him. His nurse Pam is great, she has a friendly, cheerful, positive attitude and exudes cheerfulness. She made all my appointments for me which was a great service for a busy professional. She took care of the precert and I was approved with no problems at all. I have a friend who works at the recert company and she said I passed their criteria with flying colors. He said he does about 60 WLS's a year and his partner Dr. Ryder and he always do them together. I like the team approach. They will know and anticipate each others actions. That can only be good during a long surgical experience. When I asked about postop infection rates he explained some new protocols they put into place (about 4 months ago) and that they have virtually eliminated their post-op infections with these cahnges. I was happy about this because it shows they are looking for ways to improve the process and are willing to change when needed. He does emphasize aftercare, especially meeting with the dieticians. There is a support group that meets once a month. Somehow I missed the one in November (I think I had to work late that night) so I haven't ben to one yet."
