Weight has been an issue all of my life.  On and off diets only to gain back what I've lost plus some.  Over the years, I have averaged about 10 lbs. a year.  This summer, my daughter told me that she was considering having WLS.  I was not supportive and felt that this was the last resort and tried to talk her out of it.  She convinced me to talk to her doctor.  I made an appt. and a few months later was approved for the surgery.  My approval came in October but I post poned my surgery date until March.  My husband has been very supportive.  He too is trying to loose weight.  My boss is a health fanatic and works out daily.  He too being very supportive.  My surgery is scheduled for March 29.  I have been on a full liquid diet for a week and am on the second week.  My doctor requires the use of two Impact Advanced Recovery drinks (over 350 calories ea.).  He only allows 800 calories the second week.  This is very difficult.  I am nervous about the surgery and looking forward to the changes forthcoming.  Hopefully, I will be able to return to work as soon as possible and get on with my new life!
