"While Dr. Tishler did not perform my RNY, he saved my life by doing an emergency revision as the result of a perforated gastric ulcer. I currently do all of my follow ups with Dr. Tishler and he has educated me more than the surgeon who did my RNY on issues relevant to the post gastric bypass patient, including taking acid medication! My RNY surgeon never mentioned my need for it and I wonder if I would have had the ulcer had I been taking Prevacid all along.
