Well, I was able to take the dressings off today and got a shower.  Wow do I feel better.  Still freezing through.  Belly is still sore but better than yesterday.  Still can't bend to much.  I know the doc said not to get on the scale because you gain water weight during surgery but I had to this morning and I was down 5 lbs but how could I not be with nothing to eat for 2 days.  Today I start Stage III low fat liquid protein.  I am not having trouble with that in fact I was only to have 1/4 cup but drank 1 full cup.  But I am really hungry!  I am pretty sure it is not head hunger my belly is making lots of noise and I really could use something to chew.  Anyone else have this problem.

Feeling a little better today.  I did not take any pain meds. There is some pulling on my stomach so it is hard to lie down.  I had to sleep sitting up. I had all my water again no problem. I had broth and jello today.  The broth tasted disgusting!!!

I went to the hospital this morning at 7:30 for my 9:30 surgery.  There was no room at the hospital so I was released at 5pm.  I am so thirsty and they wouldn't give me anything to drink at the hospital until 3pm and then only a little sip, so I am glad to be home.  I felt much better after brushing my teeth and swishing cold water in my mouth.  Then I sucked on ice chips. Believe me I had no trouble drinking all my water today.
