I am wanting this surgery in hopes of a longer and healthier life. I've been fighting with weight from childhood.My family use to put a ton of food on our plates and we had to eat it all or wait a long time before eating the next meal. I guess you can say I carried it into adult life. Needless to say there are alot of over weight family members and it's not okay to not complete a meal. My grandmother & mom are the cooks in the family.Holidays are Krazy at my mom's house and she will feed anybody.
I have never been on a plane before 2 yrs ago my cousin and 2 of her friends went to Vegas needless to say the seat belt wouldn't fit they had to give me an extention. I felt like everybody was watching.Both of the women who went along had the Gastric surgery we talked about the process and that was when i considered it but thought i can loose weight on my own i've done it before.
I have two boys ages 6 & 4. I am thankful they aren't having the same issues. They are full of energy and i have none.I realized i wanted this surgery when my 4yrs old said to me mommie you are gonna get bigger and bigger and than i won't have no more mommie :(. I said to him "Never Landon you will always have a mommie"That hurt! and it scared me to want to do something about it.Not that i hadn't been trying it just hasn't come off no matter what i did.
I went to the doctor for a check up to find that I was having problems and some was due to my weight so I asked about the surgery. I saw Big medacine, and here i am ready to start a new life. I am ready to go run with my boys at the park rather than saying go on and play and i will watch because my legs keep swelling or my feet hurt and always having headaches. I am thankful to have come across this site where people make me feel it's okay to be truthful to myself and others.
