"Dr. Hausmann was wonderful. I really trusted his experience and his ability. He has an excellent reputation, which is why I chose him. He made me have more tests than many surgeons require, but this goes along well with his reputation of being very meticulous and thorough. I would prefer a surgeon who is very careful, and this was him. There were concerns that I may not have been able to have surgery at all, and he did everything he could (including repeating a test that seemed to have unusual results) to help me out. When we first began, I was interested in the band, and he seemed to prefer the sleeve as an option, but also seemed that he would respect my wishes. Eventually, we decided together (after much research on my part) that the sleeve would be the best option. Dr. Hausmann was very clear about the risks of surgery, and didn't minimize them. He has excellent bedside manner, and I feel like he was 100% the best option for me. "
"All of my nurses were great, with the exception of my recovery room nurse. She was relatively insensitive and seemed that I was bothering her. And while this may just be me, I don't like being talked about like I'm not present."
