I have been overweight all of my life. I ran home crying from the bus stop on the first day of first grade because the kids were making fun of me. My mom took me to the doctor who sent us to a nutritionist. My mom weighed and measured everything and I lost most of my weight. Then for some reason, my mom stopped weighing and measuring and I started gaining the weight all back and kept that path the rest of my life. I have tried everything!!!!! (Weight Watchers, SlimFast, NutriSystem, Living Well Lady, and a bunch of others that I can't even remember their names!) When I first heard about weight loss surgery from a commercial for the Wish Center, I knew that I finally had hope. Because of insurance and other issues, it has taken me about 5 years to get to where I am today, about to have surgery!! I am in the process of waiting for approval from the insurance company. This is my husbands insurance, because weight loss surgery is a specific exclusion in my insurance. I have been on a 3 month diet and exercise program required by the insurance. I can't wait for my approval. My surgeon will be Dr. Myur Skrikanth in Federal Way, Washington. My life will start again the day I have my surgery. Until then, I wait!!!
