A BIT BUMMED

I knew that the band was a tool not a quick fix. But here I am about 1 month after surgery and including the weight I lost prior down 43.5 lbs. I am going to the gym 3-4 times a week and taking in less than 1400 calories a day making sure the protein is always first. Any thoughts on what else I can do to increase the weight lost. It just bums me out that I haven't dropped more. I don't go for my first fill until 12-1 so until then I wanted to lose more.

First follow up appointment

So today I went in for my first follow up since my surgery and Doctor says everything is good. I am where I should be down 11.5 pounds since surgery date and able to move on to the pureed foods. I'm trying to stay positive and then the oddest thing happened someone I have seen in a while saw me and said that I looked like I had lost alot of weight...I just opened my mouth and said yeah "42 lbs"...it felt great to say. I know I have lost not just by the number on the scale but because of clothes no longer fitting or fitting really loose. But I guess since I see myself and my husband sees me everyday I don't hear it from him but to hear from an old friend...well it felt wonderful.
