I'm 46 and have been overweight all my life. My new birthday is going to be Sept. 10th, that's the day my surgery is scheduled for and I can't wait to be re-born. I started my trip down the WLS path on July 12th and in less than 2 months I was not only approved but had my surgery, At the time I felt like it was taking forever, however now that it is over, I guess that I was very lucky.
October 11, 2207 - Update
I went to see my primary physician this morning (1 month post-op) and weighed in at 286 lbs. I haven't been this light in almost 15 years. I am so glad that I had the surgery.
