I have done the whole yo-you dieting for years.  I never had a weight problem until I got married and then had kids.  Over the years, I would lose and gain, and repeat that process - always gaining more than I lost.  I finally hit the point where I was looking at 300#.  I couldn't believe I was there.  It also came home to me when I tried to ride an amusement park ride and was to big for the safety harness to snap in place.  How humiliating to hold up the ride so that I had to walk off while they opened the gate for another person to ride the ride.  I am truly blessed to have had good insurance to pay for the surgery as otherwise it wouldn't have happened.  I feel so bad for those that need the surgery and can't afford it or whose insurance won't cover it.  My process once I started looking took almost a year and a half.  I started out locally and when they couldn't get the paperwork done I switched to Junction City and LivLite.  Dr. Bollman is an angel - pure and simple.  I feel that he was an answer to many, many prayers that I had and I am thankful every day that he was able to help me.  I am now 1 year post-op and have lost 117 pounds!!  (More than what was the goal the surgeon set for me!)  I am now working towards my personal goal and have about 28 more pounds to go!
