I met my surgeon at my consultation visit on the 1st. He seemed nice. I was a little disappointed with the appointment because it only took about 15 minutes. In my mind I was thinking that it would be much more informative, but he seems very experienced. I have my nutrition appointment tomorrow, the 8th of May, I am excited. My daughter is going with me, (thank God). She's already been through this, so I'm really looking forward to hearing what she thinks of the process I'm going through compared to what she went through. Good news, the doctor did say that I was a great candidate for the surgery. Hopefully, I am well on my way to a whole new me.

Well, I went to 2 seminars on the same day and I have made the decision to go with Dr. Christipher Hart. I really liked he and his staff and am confident that I have made the right decision. My first appointment is Thursday, April 1st!!! I am finally on my way to my new life!!!!

Well, I am on my way! Yah! I have a seminar to attend on April 17th with Dr. Edward Lyn from Emory and I will get my packet. I am so very excited. I pray that everything works out and the surgery is approved. I really know in my heart that this is the first step to a new life.
He said yes!

Well, my pcp finally said yes! I have wanted to have surgery for over 2 years, but all I kept getting from him were reasons why I shouldn't have it, but finally after 2 years of begging he is going to mail a letter to the insurance company for approval. I'm a little nervous because I'm really not sure about how this whole process works. I called the insurance company and they told me that my first step was to get my pcp to mail them a letter. I just pray that they approve me.
My stepdaughter had gastric bypass and she has done awesome. She feels great and she looks great! She and my son in law are actually expecting their second baby and she's only gained 8 pounds in her whole 9 months! I've gained more during her pregnancy than she has! LOL!!!!
