Amost 6 months!

I guess when I look at the before and after pictures I can see a difference.  I feel better about myself and hiking and biking aren't such a problem.  I can go up a flight of stairs and still breathe when I reach the top!  I am glad to be 40 and getting smaller.  It is a blessing.
I thank God for being with me.
I also thank my husband for his support and love and understanding.  (it aint easy in the beginning when you are saying, why did you let me do this!)
He just smiled and said it will get better... and it has.

It gets better!

I am almost 4 months out and 60 pounds lost.  I feel better than I have for a long time.  I thank God that I was able to have this surgery.  Last year I had metabolic syndrome.  I had blood work 2 weeks ago and everything is normal.  Hdl, triglycerides, cholesterol, everything!  My blood pressure is also normal!  I was on bp medicine and cholesterol medicine and since surgery, the only thing I take is the required vitamins!  That is a blessing.  I would probably encourage anyone in my same shoes to go for it.  I pray there are no long term effects like some are having with insulin problems.  I just put it in God's hands and ask him to take care of it.

this is hard

I had my rny on Jan 2, 2008.  Since then I have only lost 28 pounds and it has been very difficult.  It has been one of the hardest things I have ever done.  Nothing about this whole process has been easy.  Would I do it again?  I am not sure?
Right now I would probably say no, I wouldn't do it again.  When I eat something healthy it makes me feel bad and alot of times I throw up.  If I eat something I really should not have, it goes down fine.  I have been eating about 600 calories a day and burning off 260 calories on my treadmill.  so why am I not losing weight?  Discouraging Huh?
