Cathie, My dear friend. Jim tells me you are feeling really down and out on your self. Saying why did I do this to myself. Hon These things happen and we have to be ready for the worst. But let me answer your question. Ive only known you for a short time but know a lot about you. 1) you are doing this for yourself! 2) for your kids! 3) For your husband. 4) To get rid of Gerd 5) To get rid of sleep apnea (no more machine at night) Just your wonderful husband. 6) No more medicine! 7) To be able to breath when outside in 85 degree whether 8) To be here when your children have children. 9) To be comfortable around other people without worrying that their talking about you.( things us big people think about all the time). 10) Last but not least TO LIVE! Their are other things but I don't want to mention them here. Im here for you and will be till whenever. I will be your shoulder to cry on. I will be the ear to hear with. And ect ect..... The friend you'll never get rid of. LOL. I love you! And you will get though with this!!!! Celeste

Cathie is out of surgery. Dr. Henderson was unable to find the leak. Apparently, it must have healed itself. She is doing well. However, she does have a drain anda feeding tube. I honestly feel she is on the mend!

Hello, I was able to see Cathie and her family today. The Doctor has decided he needs to go back in and repair the leak. They were unable to get an IV in so they had to make a central line. She was heading to surgery around 2:00pm. A feeding tube may be necessary as well after surgery. Please email me if you would like to know more information. I appreciate your prayers and well wishes. I know Cathie will be just fine. I will post again when I know more.

Hello, Please keep in mind, I have not had my surgery yet so I am not up with all the surgical terms..... 9:21am, I just spoke with Cathie, apparently they did some sort of test and discovered she had a leak. She has not seen the surgeon again and is not sure what he will do at this point. They may have to go back in and repair it. Please keep Cathie in your thoughts and prayers. And, if anyone can explain to me what all this means, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Liz Lehnick

5:48pm, I spoke with Cathie - she is doing wonderfully but is very tired. We only talked for a minute. She was able to get up and walk at 5:00pm I am so very proud of her and thankful everything has gone smoothly. Thank you so very much to all of you that kept her in your thoughts. Hello fellow supporters, Well, I drove up to the hospital and my girl was still in surgery (12:30pm). Apparently, the surgery before hers took longer than anticipated. So I left flowers and came back home.... 2:49pm, I just spoke with Cathie's husband! She is out of surgery, in a room, and doing wonderfully!!! She is not up to talking - great medicine . They did not have to take her splein (spelling) they are getting her up too walk at 5:00pm. I am on my way up later this afternoon after I get the kids settled.
