"I had my first consult with Dr Augustin on July 23, 2003. He is a very pleasant person. He really took the time to sit and talk with me and completely explain the surgery. I had done a lot of research but it was nice to see the surgeons are concerned that you are making the right decision. The only thing that concerns me is that he has only done 10 surgeries alone at this time. He has been working with Dr. Ali for awhile and assisting but he just started doing the surgeries on his own. I know that you have to start somewhere it just makes me a tad bit nervous. One of the most important things to me is that this surgery is performed laproscopically and I know that sometimes the surgeon may run into complications that would make it impossible to complete the surgery that way I just want to feel confident that any of the complications that would be encountered would be due to me and not the surgeon being inexperienced. I have a follow up on 8/20/03 so we will see how he answers some of my questions then and see if my fears can be put to rest"
