Wow Karen!! I just saw you in the photo gallery, and you look marvelous! Wow! I do have some questions. Did you keep losing weight after the intial 18 months? I'm 13 months out, and have lost 142#'s, and weight 174#, but would like to get to 160, 150, or less. The weight loss has really, really slowed. Thanks for posting.

Hi and congrats on your accomplishment. I read some of your journal and can identify with the scared part of the surgery process, me too- I am scheduled on Feb 10th, but I too have had lots of surgeries, so I think I will be okay. You look awesome, hope I look that good, Mary

Oh my gosh you look so good!! I hope that my surgery is as successful as your has been. If you had any advice to give what would it be? CONGRATULATIONS on being a looser!! My surgery is sept. 30, 2002 so if you have any words of wisdom please let me know!! ((((((((HUGS))))))))))) Wendy Hebets

Angel report::: I spoke with Karen last night and she was feeling much better. She was still sucking ice chips and had not gotten up yet. She said the Doctor was going to let her have something today. She is also expected to come home on Thursday. colleen

Karen!!! I've been stuck in the hospital with my father and just realized this morning you were having your surgery!! I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to send you lots of love and prayers before you left for the hospital, but I'm going into prayer overdrive right now. Maybe it will help with recovery, huh?!?!?!?! Oh Hun ..... I'm so glad you made it to the other side and I'm sure you'll be back to feeling like your old redneck self soon! You get plenty of rest and email me when you feel up to it!
