"I met Joe at a information session he was holding at one of the hospitals not far from where I live. During the presentation he stopped to asked if people had any questions, explaining the different types of WLS and focussing on the Lap Band. I spoke with him after the presentation as well as a Registered Nurse who was living with a band. About 4 weeks later I had my first formal consultation at which time Joe explained in more detail the lap band procedure, the costs, my stay in hospital, and post op care. I decided to go ahead and a date was set. rnrnOn the day of my surgery Joe was answering my last minute questions, introducing me to his team, and that was it - I woke up 2 hours later with a lap band.rnrnWhen I started having troubles with my band, again was very professional, looking for options help, but alas in the end he had to remove the band, again his professional manner as a surgeon was great, he rand my partner following the surgery to explain what had happened and then came a saw in twice that day. rnrnWith out a doubt Joe is one of the best surgeons I have met. Very professional, explains everything. Very supportive post operatively. He consults in different locations, so often easy to see him on short notice, if willing to travel a little. rnrnSimple and easy to understand pricing system, friendly support staff. "
"Fantastic staff, and most rooms are nice, movies on demand on the tv, free telephone calls.This was my third admission to Calvary. A private room this time.The staff in theatre and on the ward remembered me from my first admission, made me feel at ease and were great. Cant thank them enough. They had a number of Enrolled and Registered Nursing Students there this time, which was nice to see as the staff were encouraging to both them and the patients. "
