Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital (COE)

"This is a great hospital. I have no complaints with the hospital. The person answering the call bell leaves something to be desired as there were several times my nurse "claims" she didnt get my messages. I rang once and 2 hrs later, my "night" shift nurse came in. Shifts had changed before the nurse finally came in to check on me. My IV had infiltrated and I rang at 7:10pm to tell them. At 9:15pm, the night nurse came in to do rounds. I was in pain and my arm was swollen! I had finally cut off the IV myself. We also waited an hour to be discharged once the doctor left my room and another hour for a wheelchair to come up. My husband finally had to go up to desk SEVERAL times and get a little stern with them. We had a 3 hr drive home! Other than these things, my stay went very well. My first 2 nurses were awesome and I couldnt have asked for better!"

Gregory Schroder

"I met with him yesterday, 12/14/06 for my consult. He is very nice and honest. He answered my questions promptly and very straight forward. I could tell he leaned more towards the lapband but did state the decision in the end is one that I will have to make based on what I think is right for me. I have 3 friends who have had the RNY by him and all sing his praises. None of them have had any complications post-op. rn3/28/07-My surgery was 3/26 and I cannot imagine any other surgeon as my doctor. Dr. Schroder is great. He genuinely cares about his patients and he has great bedside manners. He holds your hand and looks you in the eyes when he's talking to you. He's very honest and upfront. rn"
