Well I have been looking into WSL for about 10 years. Well finally I came to a decision about November, 2005. Went to my first seminar in December only to find out that doctor wasn't on my insurance. Finally found a surgeon that was listed on my insurance and went his seminar in January and then made my first appointment with him. His office turned in the paperwork to my HMO only to find out that they have an exclusion and it was totally denied. This was on January 28,2006.
That same day I called my corporate headquarters and was told I could switch to the PPO insurance until 1/31/06. Thank God I called them through my tears. Because this insurance should approve it due to no exclusions.
First approach to them was denied, due to not having 3 months of doctor regulated weight management. Even though I weigh around 365 and I am 5'4" and had 15 years of doctor information of me going in about twice a year and them talking about my weight. I do not have any major health issues except Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome with Insulin Resistance. Which has prevented me from having children. And joint and back pain.
Well as of May 3rd, 2006, I will have my 3 months of doctor supervised diet completed. Hopefully the paperwork will be turned in right after that. I sure hope to start my new life soon. I recently married in March and my new husband is wonderful. I know he will be a wonderful support for me.

Well I scheduled by Psych appointment today. It is scheduled for May 2nd. One more step closer to being on the loser side. I sure hope I can have my surgery soon. My pain in my joints and back are about to do me in. Work is getting harder and harder to do.

Well I have completed all steps needed for my insurance company. Just waiting on the doctors office to send in my paperwork to Aetna for approval again. I have been very emotional lately. Mood swings are horrible. I know my stress about the insurance approving me is getting to me. I have totally stopped drinking soda's about a week ago in preparation of after my surgery. Well I am at work and need to be working lol. God Bless Everyone.

Called insurance company on my approval and was given the green light. I was so excited I started yelling yahooo in my office and everyone started running. I was crying and they thought something was wrong. They were so happy for me. God is Great.

Dr. Storey's office called and let me know of my surgery date. It is scheduled for June 20th. Wow! And they are going to try and get me in on June 15th. Only if there is a cancelation at Bayshore Medical as the surgery department is booked. God Is SO Good to Me.

Drinking Water and more water as I am on my liquid diet. Still haven't heard if my surgery will be on the 15th or the 20th. I am ready and packed for the hospital just in case. I am excited and emotional and my DH is so understanding. He is my rock. Found out today my parents will not be able to make it to my surgery if it is on the 20th, as my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer 2 weeks ago. She will be undergoing tests at MD Anderson that day. Mom is very upset that she can't be with me as both her my dad have been very excited for me through my journey. DH has promised to call them immediately after the surgery to let them know the outcome. I know we will both be great at the Lord is looking out for both of us. Until next time. God Bless Everyone.
