"Dr Amson is highly personable. He is enthusiastic in his work and thorough in his explanations. He takes time to meet with the obesity support groups that he recommends we attend. He is upfront about all the aspects- the good , the bad, the dangerous. I feel confident under his care. Like many doctors he has a tendancy to run behind schedule. Just be sure to confirm times on the day of the appointment and take a good long book! Keep in mind that Dr Amson preforms general surgery and specializes with cancer surgery and bariatrics. Busy, busy practise. Dr Amson has an amazing office staff who co-ordinates his 125+ wating list with precision. These girls seem to be familiar with us all and deal with a constant bourage of calls. They also get us through all those pre-op hoops; nutritionalist, endocrinologist, sleep oximentry. Patience is the key. We did not become obese overnight! It is worth the wait. "
