5/20/14 -  At 430lbs, I began the process to have the VSG surgery. I lost about 40lbs on my own working out and slowly improving my diet over the next three months while working toward a surgery date. Lost an additional 16lbs on the pre-op liquid diet for a total of 56lb on 9/17/14, the morning I went into surgery.

9/22/14 - 5 days post op and things couldn't be better. So far down another 10lbs. Little pain and have stopped taking the pain meds two days ago. The diet is going fine, with mostly protein shakes throughout the day to hit my 70grams. Walking about an hour per day without a problem. Have experienced some weakness and fatigue probably due to the low overall low caloric intake.
