Uphill - needing to be upbeat -- and this is BEFORE a date!

I now get to laugh at my attitude about the surgery and the wait.
I completed all but the labs & the dietician visit in the pre-op stage...when I got "THE LETTER" from the insurance company. It was "not a covered benefit" letter...as this was seen as treatment for obesity...not covered.
I gathered my best attitude about being a big beautiful woman and reinforced my determination to continue with the vitamins and exercise...growing not in weight but in the first B part of BBW.
In an unrelated matter I saw my PCP who asked when is my surgery...when I told him - he gave me hope for the surgery. This is about much more than a smaller waist line for me! I won't detail the comorbidity factors - yet I offer that I am encouraged.
If the company does OK it, I will be happy about it. If they do not, I will have hope to raise the greater than $23K...and I will work on being that ever better BBW :) - I have faith and support.

Anxious and Anticipating...

12 January 2007 - I have met Dr. M for a consult on another matter...and after talking to my primary care doc...we are consulting on the WLS this month. I have high hopes of reducing or eliminating the need for insulin and reducing other comobidities - in addition to shedding a "few" pounds. I had been considering the surgery for a few years...so the timing is interesting. The nod from my primary care (he is great!) is just what I needed to move forward. The education seminar and web info has been beneficial.
