I have not posted any updates since surgery and decided that I should.  It has been almost 8 months since my surgery and I have lost 138 pounds.  I posted a few pictures that were taken almost two weeks ago showing me at 214 pounds.  The "fat" picture of me was taken on September 9, 2007 when I weighed in at 351 pounds.  Wow, what a difference.

Having bariatric surgery was one of the three best things I have ever done in my life.  I am so excited about the weight loss and the difference it has made in my life.

Well, I got a call yesterday afternoon from the surgeon's office informing me that my surgery was being postponed.  Something on my EKG was causing them concern and they wanted to get it checked out before going through with the surgery.

So today, instead of having surgery, I spent the day with the cardiologist getting checked out and cleared for surgery.  The good news is that everything is normal with my heart and I have been cleared for surgery.

So now my surgery has been rescheduled for Monday morning, September 10th, at 10:30.  I am bummed out about having to wait another 4 days, but at least I know that my heart is strong and should not pose a risk during surgery.

Come on Monday morning!

I finally have a date scheduled, it is September 6, 2007.  I am sooooo excited that my surgery has been scheduled and it is actually going to happen.  After four years of research, testing, counseling, and another weight loss program, I am finally going to have the tool I need to help me be sucessful in losing the weight I need, and want, to loose.  These next couple of weeks can't go fast enough.
