I have met several nice people on here so far. It is cool to get to chat with people from different areas of the US. We all have our weight lose in commen although our journeys have been very different. I love this site.

I've been looking at pics on the site and it still amazes me to see the physical difference that weight makes in our appearance. So many people look TOTALLY different now. It's great.

One thing that I never thought about before losing all the weight I did is the what would happen to all the stretched out skin. I guess I asumed it would shrink with the weight. Well it didn't. I had 4 plastic surgeries in the past 2 yrs. The first was to have the lose skin from my stomach removed. They cut off 25 lbs of skin. It hung down over my thighs almost to my knees. The second surgery was a trunk lift. They cut off 10 lbs of skin from my hips. The 3rd and 4th were done at the same time. I had the skin on my inner legs tightened up. I also had my breasts moved up to where they belong. They are a cup size smaller and don't hang down to my belly button anymore. Plastic surgery is a BIG decission and there is a lot to consider. You trade the loose skin for scars. It all depends on you and what you want. I'm basically happy with my decisions although I'm not totally happy with my legs. My Doc did say that he would like it to be a two step process because I have so much loose skin but I'm not sure I want another surgery. Maybe later. I just had the last one in Sept. and I had a lot of complications after including a blood clot that is still being treated. All in all I'm happy though. I know I'll never look like Barbie but I look SOOOOO much better then I did. And most of all I feel better.

This is all new to me. I guess it's kind of like a diary. I would love to meet and make some friends on this site. We all have something so in commen no matter what point of the journey we are on. I think we need all the support we can get to make and to keep maintaining it all.
