So over the last week I have been so extremely sick its unreal, my throat was killing me and my whole entire body was aching!  I was'nt able to drink or eat anything because my throat was so sore!  So I  went to the hospital on Monday and they told me I had strep throat and a slight infection in my lungs and not to mention I was dehydrated!  WTF.  So they gave me antibiotics to go home w/ (and 2 shots in the ass of pennicillin) and gave me something for nausea and some pain meds.  I also had to have 2 bags of IV fluids too before I could go home!  Well come Thursday and Im still feeling like s**t.  Still not really eating or drinking anything either from being so nauseated. (the meds they gave me for nausea made me have dry heaves, ish ka bibs)  So Im at work and take a dose of the antibiotics and they made me so sick to my stomach, I had hot flashes and was dripping w/ sweat.  So I called the nurse at my surgeons office and she told me to go back in to the hospital and have myself evaluated for dehydration again.  So I ended up having another lovely night in the ER getting fluids by IV, the only good thing is the doc told me to stop taking those nasty antibiotics!  So now it's Friday and I must say Im doing alot better!  I was actually able to eat some refried beans w/ a little bit of cheese on top last night after I got home.  And today Ive been getting in alot of water and gatorade!  So hopefully this rough patch is over.  Oh but I have to add, I stepped on the scale in the ER and Im down another 9lbs!  YESSSS!

So today I had my one week post op appointment.  It went ok.  I get to take off my steri-strips today.  How fun! lol.  So I have lost a total of 22lbs. so far.  I lost 13 pre-op and 9 since my surgery date!  Woo Hoo.  I started at 319 at my 1st consultation and now am at 297.  It feels so good to be back under 300lbs.  I haven't been under 300lbs for 3 years!!!!!!  So here we go on this wonderful journey.  Any questions feel free to ask.

So I had my surgery 3 days ago on September 24th, 2008  I can honestly say it went way better than I expected.  I was in alot of pain in the recovery room but as soon as they hooked me up to the PCA Pump I was alright.  The hospital stay was'nt too bad.  (I say this because I really despise hospitals!)  All the doctors and nurses were great.  They were there to answer any questions I had and help me out with whatever I needed.  I only had to stay for the expected 2 days.  They were good about getting me home as soon as possible.  I missed my kids and wanted to get home to them.  So I will post again after my 1 week post op appointment.
