Well guys today was my consultation. I had everything done. I got my phsy evaluation, I seen the nutritionist and I also seen the gasenterologist. So all my basis is covered. Well since I had all my information already they schedule me for July 11, 2003. I am so excited. I hope I get approved. I'm really am nervous now. I am going on Vacation to las vegas and when I get back I will be having my surgery. I will let you guys know whats going on.
I was denied Surgery because my company had in exlusion on this type of surgery. I am so upset right now. I had United Health Care and I just cant believe it. All this weighting to find all this out.. Damn
I found out that our insurance is changing from United Health care to Health Net. I went to see my Dr. and she told me to come back in January to see her again. I am doing fine. I tried going on a diet again..I count calories..Lost 10 pounds and them gain them back in a month. I know I need this surgery and I am going to get it. Pray for me.
Well I seen my doctor today and she gave me a little saying that it was medical necessary. I went over to my surgeon office and drop it the letter off since its was just 1 block away. Dropped it off and now its being sent to my insurance. My surgeon also had great news and gave me a date for January 27th if I get approved right away. Yippie..Now the waiting......
Guys I am so happy I got the letter in the mail and I was approved. The date on the letter said January 9th that means it was approved in 2 days. Wow..I cant believe it..I just cant...OMG...Plus my date is January 27, 2004. Yippie
Well guys its the day before my Surgery..I cant believe how time flies. I am so nervous but not scared yet. I went through so much but now I have a second chance at life. Right now I have high Cholesterol and in the last couple of months my blood pressure has been up and down. I am just to young for all of this I am only 27. I also have Gerd and my fathers family has an history of diabeties. Once I have this surgery their is going back. This was a hard choice to make but I made it with all the reseach thatI have been doing and talking to people who had the surgery. Well guys have me in your prayers

Well I am finally home today. Just couldnt wait to write to you guys. I had to beg the Dr. to send me home. I went in on Tuesday and was sent home today on Saturday. Well it seems that my temperature was up and down and the Dr. did not want me to leave unless my temperature was normal for 24 hours but for some reason my temp goes up in the evening around 6 everyday. I dont know why but they took a chance since I wanted to go home and they put me on antibiotics for 14 days to make sure their is no infection. I hope not. I have to go in for a 2 week follow up with my surgeon. Funny thing is I weight in at Dr. office at 285..Then the day of Surgery I was 277 and I was like how could I lose weight in 3 days but I started eating the Weight Watcher dinner for that week so that could be it. I ask the Nurse is this accurate and she said it was I was like ok wow. Now 5 days after surgery I weight myself at home and I weight 270...Wow..I cant believe it..Yippie..I lost 15 pounds in a week...Wow oh Wow..I am going to try and just weight myself on Saturdays but I am so tempted everyday. Well I will keep you guys posted every week...
Ok, I know I have not posted in almost a year but is 2 days before my one year anniversay. I am so happy. I am 85 pounds down in total. I lost 8 pounds 7 days before Surgery at 285. The day of Surgery I weight in at 277. I am now exactly 200 pounds. I cant seem to get under that mark. I have been there for almost 4 months. Frustrated at times but I still feel great though. Its been a wonderful year for me. I am down 10 dress sizes and I feel wonderful. Hey who can say they can almost fit into a size 12 jeans at 200 pounds. I can fit into size 12 stretch jeans though and thats is GREAT...
