"Dr. Kurian is a very bold woman who gets right to the point. She put me on the scale and asked me what I weighed at 18 years of age and then she asked me what happened? I was surprised, but liked her directness. My visit with her was 10 minutes and she asked me to choose the operation I wanted and pick a date. I couldn't believe how easy it was going to be to start a whole new life. Dr. Kurian was very thorough in her detailed description of the Gastric Bypass and she gave specifice aftercare instructions to follow. She had an excellent bedside manner. I would rate Dr. Kurian as the top surgeon for WLS in New York. Both surgical competence and bedside manner are extremely important, especially with this operation. Your entire life changes as soon as you wake up in recovery. "
