My story is not so different as some many others on this site.  I'm fifty years old have been morbid obese for about eight years now.  I suffer each and everyday with this life-altering disease.  I have high blood pressure, acid reflux, fatty liver, high cholestrol and chronic back and knee pain.  I heard about gastric-bypass surgery about five years ago.  Little was known about it and all I heard was how dangerous it was.  I started researching it on-line, after finding out how expensive it was I kinda put it on the back burner.  This disease has made my life unbearable, It has resulted into me not being able to live a normal active life.  I no longer feel like leaving my house.  I don't get to spend time with my two wonderful grandchildren(that are the light of my life).  I recently decided I had to do something.  I am missing out on so much and wasting precious time and I hate myself for being this way.  That's when I decided to check into gastric-bypass surgery again.  It seems that now there is a whole lot more information on the subject.  Thank you OH, you have changed my views and I have seen a surgeon.  I will recieve my surgery very soon.  I thank all the wonderful people on OH that share their experiences, if not for you I probably  would still be in the dark and not on my way to a new and better life.  Thanks so much for being real and congratulations to each and everyone of you for a job well done.  I hope and pray I will be one of you before long!!   I live in northwest Tennesse.  I have been married to the most wonderful man for ten years now.  I have two awesome children, a girl, Autumn 30 and a son, Chad 21.  Two adorable grandsons, Gage 8 and Lucas 1.  My parents live nearby and I have one sister, Cindy 49, who lives across town from me.  My family's really supportive of me and my surgery.  Which makes it alot easier for me to go full force into having a good start at a new life
