I started out going to Kansas City and weighed 312 after already losing 10lbs. They told me to get below 300 before they would operate, then because on Medicare they recommended Topeka. By then I weighed 193 ( June 2008 ). Had surgery Jan. 8th and because I had had blood clots previously, they put me on Lovenox shots 5 days before surgery and gave me more the day of surgery. It caused me to bleed internally, I had to have 12 transfusions and 2 plasmas and my blood pressure had dropped to 50 over 26. They did not think I would make it. I was in ICU 6 days and 6 more days in a regular room. Went home, weighed 184, was very nausous, could barely eat, lost 40 lbs. in 2 weeks. Weak. It is now May 4th and I have lost 65 lbs. since surgery with a total of 94. Because I have been so weak and they had taken me off all meds including my bi-polar meds. I have been very sick. As the blood inside me dried up I was in terrible pain. I am now in rehab therapy to regain my strength, swimming therapy and up to 2 miles a day. Mentally not doing to great. Very depressed, but there are some good days too. I now weigh 227, was a 3x and 4x now size large in misses shirts and size 18 in pants. Depressed about the flabvby skin and have been told plastic surgery may not be a possibility for me because of the complications I had. Now I have had bacteria on my uterus and they don't know whats wrong with my bladder. Feeling discouraged. I pray a lot and read the Bible a lot.
