Like many of you I have been overweight all of my adult life. The funny thing is, I have never thought of myself as "obese" (I hate that word!) I have raised 2 wonderful daughters on my own, I have amazing friends and a successful career. I was active, had lots of fun and was in generally good health.
About 10 years ago I started to notice my weight more. I would get out of breath walking up one flight of stairs, my knees started hurting and my blood pressure started going up. I started thinking about WLS then because every diet I have ever tried has failed.
I made the decision to go ahead with WLS in Septemeber, 2006. Unfortunately, soon after I was diagnosed with Vasculitis and had to take massive amounts of Prednisone. Because of the drugs I was taking to combat the Vasculitis I wasn't a candidate for WLS anymore.
Flash forward to 2016 - My oldest daughter is getting married
