Holy Cross Hospital (COE)

"My negative comments would be that the air conditioning was not the best in my room, but the nurses found fans that helped tremendously. Also, my last night was staffed completely by "pulled" from other units who were incompetent, rude and not knowledgeable about Gastric surgery. We were warned about this ahead of time by Dr. Marema's group. Myself, I had no complaints because I was up and about and going home in the am, but my roomate and others on the floor felt they were poorly treated because of their size, nurses didn't know what they were doing and just generally, unattended. "

Robert Marema

"Nice guy, super friendly and caring. WOW!Very busy office...there must have had 50 people in his office waiting room that day that were seeing the doctors, going to nutrition classes, seeing the bariatric psychologists, buying vitamens, etc. I started my day off in a 2 hour nutrition class, did all my preop registration and blood work at the hospital across the street, back in time to see the bariatric psychologist for last minute anxiety training-haha, then the minister for spiritual guidance, then Dr. Marema for my surgical consult and then another hour for a relaxation/visualization seminar for preops. What a day, and the night before there was a 3 hour seminar at the hospital for postop care and expectations. No leaf left unturned!!!! A very structured before and aftercare program."
