The Begining

I have always been over-weight, even as a child. I was 220 lbs when I was in boot camp in the Army! I am 6’3” do 220 was a healthy time for me… I also lost a lot of weight – from 370 down to 260 with Phen-Phen. I loved Phen-Phen and had no medical problems, but they took it away… Then I really got fat.

Anyway – this discouraged me and I tried dieting again on my own. I did get down to 370 by May 2006! LOL – Can you believe I lost 67 lbs on my own, HA! Of course I am now back to about 400 now here in spring 2007. I actually have what I consider a strong will, but I just can’t seem to keep it up for more than a few months, then as soon as I fall of the wagon – OH BOY!
Anyway – I finally came to the realization that I had to do something to be able to have a long life. So I tr4ied to get with a group in Plano/Addison TX but they insisted on a seminar and I could never match my schedule to theirs (I travel a lot for business). Finally contacted Dr. Daryl Stewarts office and got a seminar I could make with them. I attended the seminar on March 6. It was interesting and I did learn a few more things.
I was told that someone from the office would be contacting me in the near future. Finally got a call from his office three weeks later. The caller asked me if I had any questions or if I needed anything. LOL – I laughed and said – well been waiting for you ‘all to call so I could go to the next step. The kind lady said – OH well lets set you up with the initial consultation! HAHA ok! Anyway I have my first consultation on April 12, a little over 5 weeks later. Why does this take so long! Geeze!
Well I will do my best to keep everyone up-to-date as I go through this. I guess the next steps will be the insurance approval. I have Aetna Select. It has been a great insurance so far – I hope I can say that at the end of this….
