Weight loss time frame
Aug 15, 2016
I am almost three months post-op after having the gastric sleeve surgery. I feel great. My highest weight was 252 pounds. I am down to 216, a 35 pound loss. From what I have read and talking to others who have had this surgery, I am feeling like I am not losing fast enough. I am terrified of being that one person this surgery doesn't work for.
I follow the guidelines well with my eating. I have not been perfect and have some slip ups with over eating or snacking, but try to get back on plan when that happens. I have been walking a ton and doing some resistance training, so I'm wondering why the scale isn't moving faster. I am trying to not get discouraged or worried about the lack of speed with the weight loss. Did anyone else feel like this? How do you keep your spirits up when the scale seems to not move quickly.
Also, any tips on getting all the liquid in. I am having a hard time getting 64 ounces down with the waiting an hour after I eat to drink; also having to take small sips is difficult. I am so used to being able to down a glass of water.
