"My surgeon is Dr. Ernesto Garza and I had my gastric bypass surgery on December 21, 2009. I was nervous upon meeting him for the first time because he looks so young, but I soon discovered that he is wise and very experienced. After my first visit with him, I knew that I had made the right choice in a surgeon for my procedure.
Patients should know that Dr. Garza only has your health and what is best for you in mind. He is caring and takes the time to listen to your concerns and makes every effort to make sure you are aware of all aspects of the procedure that is right for you. The care I received after my surgery was awesome; Dr Garza visited with and updated my family immediately after surgery, which my family (and I) greatly appreciated. He also visited with me each day I was in the hospital and that was so comforting.
Post-surgery office visits are great(for the first time I'm excited to get on the scale)and the staff is very pleasant. The monthly support group meetings offered are very informative and inspiring; at those meetings Dr. Garza always takes time before and/or after to chat and catch up, making sure that all is going well. Dr. Garza has changed my life!!!"
