"Today is Wednesday, March 19, 2008. I met with Dr. Boynton today!! Yes! My first impression of him was professional, confident, knowledgeable, and caring. He’s just what I hope to find in a surgeon. He didn’t appear to be very chatty, but very through in his questions and profession. He took the time to explain the procedure and drew a diagram of the actual pouch. I like that as I am visual when it comes to learning. He seems quite, but would give a smile under that stoic tall stature. He discussed the New Beginnings program that he requires all of his patients. The program is costly, but does entail a great pre and post program, that has a nutrition class, support groups, weigh-ins, dietitian, behavior therapist and a fitness program. The program sounds really good for supporting such a major decision. His staff was nice and I didn't have a long wait. rn"
