"Tom Magnuson is GREAT! Busy, but GREAT. In my consult, he was concerned that I meet the requirements for surgery and was comfortable with my decision to have it done. He was against the laparoscopic procedure, citing \"too many complications\" and instead insisating on an Open RNY. He is very busy (he said he does 5 of these a week) and I did not see him again until the day of surgery. Post surgery he relies on his residents A LOT, but I saw him everyday. He emphasized aftercare and nutritional counselling. he actually would not do the surgery without my seeing a Nutritionist first, and then again after. He was plain about the risks (20%) of complications, and in fact I developed a ventral hernia that was repaired later. His office staff is first rate and the surgical clinic folks are top notch."
